Information Centers: One information center will be established in each of the 490 upazilas of Bangladesh under the project. In each information center 01 information service officer and 02 information service assistant will be engaged in providing information service. These are known as "information sisters" in the project area. Information Apara will complete the activities of communication through internet, taking opinions of various experts, primary health care, ensuring easy availability of government services in the upazila, video conferencing, e-learning, e-commerce etc. Apart from this, Apara will provide various information services related to education, health, law, business, gender and agriculture by visiting the homes of the villagers in the project area through the use of laptops. Information Services: Providing information services through internet: The information center will have round-the-clock internet connection. Beneficiaries of the project will be provided free internet browsing, e-mail, video conferencing services through Skype. Besides, job news, results of various examinations, information of various government services will be provided free of cost. Primary Health Care: The following primary health services will be provided free of cost from the information centers: Blood pressure test Weight measurement Diabetes test Providing door-to-door service: Information service officers and information service assistants employed in each information center will go to the houses of the respective upazilas to solve various problems related to education, health, law, business, gender and agriculture through the use of laptops. Resolve the problem quickly and effectively through the client's conversation with the officer. Backyard Meetings - Open Discussion and Awareness Activities: In addition to providing information services through the information center, yard meetings will be organized for the service recipients to make the rural grassroots women aware about modern technology. 40-50 rural women will participate in each yard meeting. Two backyard meetings will be held in each information center every month. Various issues related to the life and livelihood of rural women such as health issues, child marriage, fatwas, violence against women, employment information, legal issues and various aspects of digital services (e-mail, video conferencing) will be informed. The information service officers and information service assistants working in the information center will show the rural women present at the yard meeting how to get the service through real use of internet. Concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Agriculture Officers, Education Officers, Fisheries Officers, Health Officers, Government IT Specialists and various government officials will discuss issues related to information technology, education, medicine, agriculture etc. as resource persons. In addition, local women entrepreneurs, women lawyers, social workers, women community leaders will also discuss various social issues such as: prevention of child marriage, dowry prohibition law, domestic violence and women's policy.
